Stucco Painting Receive a formal proposal and house-painting estimate before any work begins. We will inspect, take pictures, and work up the estimate. Your home will be expertly painted with incredible attention to detail. Our painters specialize in color coordination with the trim and will ensure your colors blend together perfectly.
Exterior Painting Paint and coatings are applied for two reasons: to protect the stucco surface (substrate) and to beautify. The combination of heat, water, and the sun (UV rays) leads to faster degradation of painted surfaces, and in Florida, we have an abundance of all three. There is a 3-step process, which will ensure a top-notch job. This process includes:
Step 1. Surface Prep The first step, surface preparation, is the most critical part of any painting service. Improper surface preparation can make or break the quality of the painting job. Cleaning properly requires the use of the right chemicals to ensure that all particulate matter are removed from the stucco surface.
Step 2. Repair & Prime We repair all hairline and settling cracks, and trench around the base of the home to ensure painting below ground level. A masonry primer is applied to all surfaces to be painted, providing a base for paint adherence. To ensure the longevity of the job, only high-quality, low- or no-VOC paint is used. Low-quality surplus paint can be purchased on the Internet for as little as 5 dollars per gallon; high-grade, low-VOC paints cost between 30 and 60 dollars per gallon. We provide you with receipts of our purchases.
Step 3. Paint & Finish We mask all windows and doors prior to painting, then apply two coats of Sherwin-Williams® Super Paint or Behr® Masonry Exterior Paint. The following day, we apply Clear Coat to the finish. A clear coat is applied to automotive finishes to protect the painted surfaces from heat, acid rain, and UV degradation. Now this proven technology is available for your home and is a standard part of our work.
